At Meridian Dance Centre we are passionate about Dance and we believe that anyone can dance – let us show you how. Our group classes are a fun and casual atmosphere in which to learn the basics of all the most popular Ballroom & Latin Dance and get you out and about dancing. Our enthusiastic staff will soon have you dancing the Jive, Cha Cha, Salsa, Quickstep, Rumba and many more fun social dances with confidence. We also offer a free introductory class to anyone attending Meridian Dance Centre for the first time.
Beginners Level Ballroom & Latin
This class is aimed at absolute beginners . We run this class as a 6 week course covering 2 dances over 3 weeks. This makes it easier for new students to join us every 3 weeks. we cover basic figures for Waltz, Tango, Cha Cha, Samba, Foxtrot, Jive,Salsa, Quickstep and Rumba.
Intermediate & Advanced
If you have danced elsewhere, please contact us for the approximate level required to join. This is a more advanced class where the figures learned depend more on the abilities of the students. We vary our figures and routines regularly so there is always something new and fresh to learn for our more experienced dancers. Attending our Intermediate& Advanced classes is always a benefit to any student who wishes to improve their dancing so should also be considered in conjunction with this fun group class. Dances covered are: Waltz, Jive, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Samba, Tango
Many of our regular students continue to attend these classes since the routines and choreography are so varied but many students will also attend medal courses and other classes at the same time.
