As we all know we have to stay home for at least a week (potentially more) and we can not keep going with our classes and lessons in the studio as usual.
Last year I did Zoom lessons for our students during lockdown and it was helpful – we stayed connected and kept dancing. During this last year I have been doing Zoom lessons and online courses with some of the best teachers and dancers in the world. Having this experiences has told me that it is important to create a system for my students now so that they can get information, practice it and get personal feedback on how to improve. This way students motivated to do their best, keep practicing and stay accountable. It may sound complicated but it would be easy to understand and follow the system.
What is Included:
-life Zoom lesson and recoding of it for a week
-pre recorded information plus homework with an individual feedback from teacher
-students stay in touch with the teacher and each other on Google classrooms.
When you sing up you will get access to virtual dance space with:
1.link to live Zoom sessions on Tuesdays 5.30pm – 6:30pm, it will be recoded for students who can not join or would like to practice again later.
2.Pre recorded lessons with information and demonstration on certain topics. It will be short, about 15 – 20 min, one for ballroom, one for latin. During the demonstration I will explain the main points to control and then students will practice it and send their best attempt to the teacher for feedback in google classroom (all kids know that one). After that, students can keep practicing, knowing what exactly needs to be improved and send it again to make sure they are doing it correctly. All the topics will be something that it is possible to practice in a small space for individuals and fundamentals so it is important to practice it constantly and improve the quality all the time.
3.Stay in touch with the teacher and other students using Google Classroom and Zoom.
This program will start on Tuesday 13th of July and will keep going till we can re open. Cost will be $15 a week.
No matter what level of dancing you are this program will be a great way not only to keep dancing but to improve understanding and get important skills to be a better dancer.
